Tess Oberholzer

Brian Eisner & Spencer Slovic–Tess recently went to the state track and field championships for the second year in a row, so we had her answer some questions about track and other random stuff.

James or Brian?

—Both, obviously!! Hurdle Squad 2k14 fo evah (we’ll miss you Brian, thanks for that shoutout in appreciation chapel! <3)

Last time you cried?

—Two Sundays ago at 10 pm as I started my homework

Last time you regretted being mean?

—I regret it every time, because I’m never mean on purpose, it’s just sometimes I try to be funny and it comes out really wrong

Science research?

—This is the vaguest question ever. If you’re asking what my project was, I tried saving the world from breast cancer, which didn’t work (shocker), but it got me third place so I guess I can’t complain. And if you’re asking what my thoughts are on the science research program in general, I think it’s a great way for interested students to explore their passions, but personally I would rather do another LJP instead.

What are your thoughts on the relationship between Monica Wehby’s winning of the republican primary for the senate election and the problems that have been going on with the clock in the Great Hall?

—Monica Wehby obviously stole the Great Hall clock to hang in her new republican-primary-winner office

—An adorable person who is always smiling and happy

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

—I’m not a woodchuck, so I wouldn’t exactly know, but I feel like maybe I heard somewhere that he’d chuck as much as a woodchuck could if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

What are the practical applications of being a hurdler?

—I can confidently overcome any obstacles that are 33 inches or shorter.
