Fashion Column: Week 1

Welcome to the first installment of my weekly Fashion Column.

Hi, I am Noah Wali and I will be starting a weekly fashion column here on the dig. Each week, outfits of the week from the OES student body will be featured in this column, weekly updates in the fashion world and interesting mixes and matches to help you get dressed in the morning will be posted on this page. To begin week 1, we start off with a new brand on the come up in the fashion industry.

T/SEHNE is a menswear collection created by Thomas Sehne and Stephen Piel, two Germans who were longtime designers for Balenciaga. Created in 2017, Sehne works had to create timeless pieces in which integrate classically cut clothes with a contemporary look. The brand’s simplistic, aesthetic clothes come with the ability to create a complex look with elementary pieces. The brand is currently being sold at two locations only: L’Echoppe in Tokyo and Machine-A in London. Look for T/SEHNE at London Fashion Week later this year. Although the look is not yet practical for OES students, we hope to see Thomas create more pragmatic clothing, especially in the United States.

 

This week’s style of the week: Graphic Tees. Try throwing it back to the ’80s with your favorite death metal band merchandise, or the cheesiest touristy type shirt you can find in your closet.
