My name’s Noelani Johnson, and I’ve been attending OES for 13 years. As a student at OES, I can honestly say that this school, while giving me an amazing education, still has some things that could be improved for a better experience at OES.
My name is Simran Jhooty and I am running for president. Two years ago, I sat on the freshman furbicles, marvelling at all the presidential nominees compelling platforms. Even back then, I had envisioned standing in front of the student body one day and articulating my hopes and dreams for the Upper School.
What if our OES Community life was as strong as our Academic life? It’s amazing how we apply ourselves deeply and inspire each other to work harder and grow as learners. Yet, as we transition from the classroom to the great hall, the inclusiveness of our academic life too often gives way to tension and lack of camaraderie. I’d like to work to make these two aspects of our culture equally strong.
My name is Nicholas Chang, and I would be honored to be the Student Body President of the school year 2018-2019.
My name is Claire Zhang and I am running to be one of your Community Board Dorms Representatives.
I have always known how lucky I am to be at OES, just being here and immersing in such a highly cultural and educational space.
I am Tiffany Liang, a rising sophomore. I am running for dorm Policy Board representative, a position that is responsible for advocating dorm students’ opinions in how to improve OES policies.
Through my experience, I know that OES is a high-stressed school and it’s very easy to slip into hectic and chaotic habits.
Hi everyone, I am Alexa a junior and I am running for Honor Council Dorm Rep for the upcoming year.
Over the course of the last few years, I have had the privilege to get to know many members of our upper school student body.
